im attempting to teach myself Copperplate Calligraphy…this is one of my practice sheets for today!
im really enjoying it so far…maybe one day i’ll be as good as the wonderful Lila Symons (http://www.dailycalligraphy.com/) :)
ive been learning the wonderful art of traditional sign painting (with tremendous help from my boyfriend: http://www.flickr.com/photos/madeforglorysigns/) & these are a few little signs i did recently! :)

im extremely interested in sign painting & have been learning a lot about it lately…
im very inspired by these two videos, they are each about a different variety of sign painting/making.
the first is about an extremely talented artist named david smith, who is a glass gilding & gold leaf sign artist in england.
this one is about a company in NYC called Sky High Murals that does hand-painted advertising, truly amazing!
